Internet Super Hero and Lifetime Child Protector Awards Presentation

Our Internet Super Hero Awards are presented. What’s their superpower? It’s helping keep young people safer online! And our Lifetime Child Protector Awards go to special people because of whom children sleep more soundly. We know some really awesome people and want to let you know how awesome they are!

Stop Cyberbullying!

Introducing – “Step Up, Speak Out…for Phoebe”

Teenangels present research on cyberbullying and their outreach programs, including the new one dedicated to the memory of Phoebe Prince. (The first ever annual Stop Cyberbullying Awards will be given during this panel.)

Teens and Tweens Reports: Handheld Insights

Teens and tweens carry more cyber-power in their backpacks, pockets and purses than most corporations had ten years ago. What technologies are they using? When do kids think it’s okay to swear online? The answer might surprise you.

The First Annual “WiredMoms Fav 5s”

WiredMoms have their favorite sites and technologies too. The best five sites and new technologies for moms, as determined by our WiredMoms, get a “shout out!” Who made the cut?

Grill the Grownups!

Let’s see how much the experts really know when grilled by the true experts – teens and tweens! Representatives from government, industry and the media face their biggest challenge ever – Teens!

WiredKids Best of the Web Awards, Box Lunch and “R U smrtr thn a Tweenangel?” Contest

12:30pm

The fun begins. R U smrtr thn a TwA? It’s Tweenangels issuing the challenge, and the only chance you have is by working with the Teenangels at your table. Winners get prizes. Losers face the cyber-music! And the 10th Annual WiredKids Best of the Web Awards - nominated by kids, tweens and teens, approved by WiredMoms and vetted by Parry Aftab (wearing her privacy and security lawyer hat).

Panel Four:

Sexting, Sextbullying and Approaches that are Too Hot or Too Cold! Getting to “Just Right.”

1:15pm

Teens  and tweens tune us out as soon as we come across like “boring grown-ups.” Our award-winning Teenangels and some special teens will share what they have learned and their new peer-education campaign, meet a teen caught in the crossfire and a young girl coerced into posing for a sext image at the age of 10.
