Best Practices and Privacy Audits
Parry Aftab has been offering audits of networks' and sites' privacy practices for years, especially her COPPA audits. In addition, Parry's WiredTrust offers the Socially Safe Best Practices Seal. To earn the seal each applicant has to undergo an audit of their practices and policies. Questionnaires, face-to-face interviews, research and probes are conducted to determine where the company is and whether certain practices must be implemented or changed.
