Risk management is part legal, part insurance, part compliance and part security. It's balancing the need to operate the business with the need to minimize risks to that operation.

It involves preventive law, insurance, policy development and, in the case of privacy, security. It also involved good communication and setting up teams to react quickly when something goes wrong or a new issues is presented.
